For consumer's protection, only the finished and final product should undergo the sampling and laboratory test. At the same time, the seal of the accredited quality test laboratory can only be marked to fasteners, which passed the fastener quality test.

In connection with the same Act, the Defence Standard promulgated by UK Ministry of Defence also set out specific rules for quality assurance of threaded fasteners designed for ships and submarines. The standard also points out detailed conditions for specific kind of fasteners. All contractors of The Ministry of Defence are subject within the jurisdiction of United Kingdom and European Health and Safety at Work Law. Since production of industrial fasteners involved exposure to direct chemicals, which are hazardous to health, necessary safety measures and preventions must be observed in the workplace to ensure quality of fasteners produced by every labourer.
